COBRA may be offered as a temporary insurance option when your employer sponsored health coverage ends for whatever reason. If you are eligible for COBRA, you still may be eligible for TennCare Medicaid. You can find out by applying for Medicaid at the Department of Human Services. The fact that you have access to insurance does not keep you from being eligible for Medicaid if you meet Medicaid guidelines.
