The TennCare Advocacy Program works for TennCare enrollees, or those eligible for TennCare, who are experiencing difficulty accessing necessary medical care. The Advocacy Program was established in 1994 by advocacy groups state-wide, and is funded by the TennCare Bureau. It is a program of Health Assist Tennessee (www.HealthAssistTn.org).
There are three major components of the TennCare Advocacy Program: advocacy services, children's advocacy services, and community education services. We have bilingual counselors who offer assistance in Amharic, Arabic, Bosnian/Croatian/Serbian, Kurdish, Somali, Spanish, and Vietnamese. We have helped thousands of Tennesseans since 1994, and are ready to help you with your TennCare needs.
Our goal for this web site is to make information available to TennCare enrollees and those working on their behalf. The advocacy community in Tennessee is active and far-reaching; the Advocacy Program is but one part of the whole. It is our hope that the information on this web site, whether developed by us or by others and made available here, will be helpful to all who need assistance navigating the TennCare system.
Let the TennCare Advocacy Program be
your voice – your resource – your solution.
